The Burdon Groundwater network for International Development (BGID) is an official network of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) created to support the sustainable development and management of groundwater for poverty reduction.
Welcome to our new website and our new name IAH – BGID. We realised that although we have been doing lots of great things in the last few years we have been doing much of it behind the scenes. So this website allows us to tell more people what we are up to and get involved. From supporting and running training courses and distributing free text books to IAH members, to developing the awesome new African groundwater Atlas and organising sessions at conference, there is always more exciting work to be done!

The IAH is the international charitable organisation which promotes sound development and management of groundwater – it is seen by many as the worldwide family of hydrogeologists.
